The shadows have fallen over the Sunwell. As of today, March 2, 2026, World of Warcraft: Midnight is officially live. This expansion takes us back to the legendary elven lands of Quel’Thalas, but not as you remember them.
Whether you're a veteran of the Burning Crusade or a brand-new dracthyr, here is your essential Day 1 survival guide.
How to Start the Expansion
To begin your journey into the Void, head to your capital city (Orgrimmar or Stormwind) and accept the quest "The Call of the Sun." You’ll meet Alleria Windrunner at the harbor/gates, where a cinematic will trigger, transporting you to the newly revamped, loading-screen-free version of the Ghostlands.
The New Level Cap & Hero Talents
The level cap has officially moved to Level 90. But the real power lies in the expanded Hero Talent trees.
Void-Weaver (Priest/Mage): Harness the very darkness threatening Azeroth to buff your spells.
Sun-Guardian (Paladin/Warrior): Channel the light of the Sunwell to provide massive AOE protection.
Key Zone: The Revamped Silvermoon City
Silvermoon has finally been integrated into the world map. You can now fly your dynamic mounts directly into the city! The city serves as the main hub for this expansion, featuring new crafting orders and a dedicated "Void-Research" wing for the new profession specialized in shadowy artifacts.
