The "House of Mario" just pulled back the curtain on the future of independent gaming. Today’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase (March 3, 2026) was a historic one, as it marks the first dedicated presentation where the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware was the primary focus for indie developers.
Switch 2 Power: More Than Just Pixels The big takeaway from today is that "Indie" no longer means "low power." Developers showed off how the Switch 2’s increased RAM and DLSS capabilities allow for lighting and physics that were previously impossible on a handheld.
