Move over, Steam Deck. Lenovo has just redefined the "handheld" category at MWC 2026 with the Legion Go Fold.
This isn't just a refresh of the original Legion Go; it’s a total reimagining of what a portable PC can be. Featuring a massive folding screen, it transitions from a compact 7.7-inch handheld to a colossal 11.6-inch tablet in seconds.
The Screen: POLED Innovation
The heart of the device is the 11.6-inch POLED display. When folded, the device is roughly the size of a standard Nintendo Switch. When unfolded, you have a high-resolution, 165Hz workstation that rivals most gaming laptops.
Internal Specs & Power
Lenovo has made the bold choice to stick with Intel’s Core Ultra 7 (Lunar Lake) architecture for this concept.
RAM: 32GB LPDDR5X (On-package)
Storage: Up to 1TB NVMe Gen4
Display: 2435 x 1712 resolution, 500 nits brightness
Battery: 48Whr (designed for efficiency over raw capacity)
Four Modes of Play
Handheld Mode: Folded 7.7-inch screen with attached controllers.
Tablet Mode: Fully unfolded 11.6-inch screen for touch-based games.
Horizon Mode: Unfolded horizontally with a kickstand for "Kickback" gaming.
Laptop Mode: Paired with the detachable magnetic keyboard for productivity.
The "FPS Mouse" Returns
Fans of the original will be glad to know the right controller still features FPS Mode, allowing it to be used as a vertical mouse. However, it now includes a small OLED secondary screen on the controller itself to track frame rates and battery life.
Is a foldable screen the future of handhelds, or is it too fragile for travel? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
