Tenno, prepare for a darker turn. Today, March 2, 2026, Digital Extremes hosted Devstream 193, officially unveiling the next major free update: The Shadowgrapher. Dropping on March 25, this update is leaning heavily into the "survival horror" roots of the franchise while making a massive leap onto new hardware.
The 64th Warframe: Follie The star of the show is Follie, a monochromatic, ink-based Warframe inspired by surrealist art and inkblot tests. Her abilities focus on "painting" the battlefield:
Inkblot: Blinds enemies in a radius and marks them for extra critical damage.
Self-Portrait: Creates a liquid-ink doppelganger that draws aggro and explodes into a slowing puddle when destroyed.
New Mode: Follie’s Hunt Digital Extremes is experimenting with Asymmetrical Horror. In this new co-op mode, a squad of four players must navigate the ruins of the Vesper Relay while being stalked by a powerful, AI-controlled version of Follie. It’s a high-tension cat-and-mouse game where stealth and coordination matter more than raw power.
Switch 2 Launch & Anniversary The big news for Nintendo fans? Warframe launches natively on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 25, the same day as the update.
Runs at 1080p/60FPS in handheld mode.
Ambimanus Pack: Log in on a Switch 2 between March 25 and April 15 to claim exclusive warfan weapons and boosters for free.
