It’s official! Sony has pulled back the curtain on the PlayStation Plus Essential lineup for March 2026, and it is one of the strongest "free" months we have seen in years. Whether you are into hardcore monster hunting or relaxing on a cozy island, there is something for everyone to add to their library starting today, March 3.
The Headliners for March:
Monster Hunter Rise (PS5, PS4): With Monster Hunter Wilds and Stories 3 dominating the news, this is the perfect time for Sony to give away Rise. It features the high-flying Wirebug mechanic and incredible Japanese-inspired monsters. If you haven't played the "Sunbreak" expansion yet, now is the time to start your base game journey for free.
Slime Rancher 2 (PS5): The ultimate "relaxation" game. You play as Beatrix LeBeau as she explores a prismatic new island filled with jiggly, wiggly slimes. It’s colorful, addictive, and looks stunning with the PS5’s enhanced lighting.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road (PS5, PS4): A massive win for RPG fans. This isn't just the base game; it’s the Gold Road collection, which gives you access to years of story content and the West Weald region.
PGA Tour 2K25 (PS5): For the sports fans, the latest entry in the premium golf sim is included, featuring the new "Pro Path" career mode.
Last Chance for February Games! If you haven't claimed them yet, today is the final day to add Undisputed and Subnautica: Below Zero to your library before they rotate out.
Pro-Tip for Trophy Hunters: Monster Hunter Rise is a "Long Platinum" (expect 100+ hours), while Slime Rancher 2 is a much more manageable and fun 15-20 hour completion.
Which of these four games are you downloading first? Are you heading to the hunting grounds or starting a slime farm? Let us know in the comments!
